DJ ARKIN ALLEN (A.K.A. MERCAN DEDE)

Born as Arkın Ilıcalı in Turkey on 1966, Mercan Dede or DJ Arkın Allen was trained in ney, bendir, percussion and vocals later becoming known and revered internationally for his unique blend of eastern and western music. In addition to his world music works, he kicked off his DJing career with a compilation album named ‘OM’ 22 years ago. DJ Arkın Allen has more than 200 remix and singles under his belt published by the likes of Interchill, Sony, Dragonfly, Michino in Europe and North America.

Performing in countless local and international festivals including the Montreal Diversite Festival where he performed for an audience of 200.000, Arkın Allen has shared the stage with Derrick May, Jeff Mills, The Orb, Derrick Carte and many more. Continuing his various music projects in his studio Buddha Land in Montreal, Arkın will be performing on the KSKM @Cappadox stage.

This year, multiple events will be hosted at Capaddox in collaboration with CACC.
