An unforgettable nature hike through ancient carved warehouses, pigeonry structures and Cappadocia’s unique art works are all on the Ortahisar Hiking Tour trail.

Hiking trail
The Balkanderesi Valley Hiking Tour will start from the Uçhisar Meydanı at 09:00'o clock en route İbrahimpaşa Köyü and will end at Ortahisar.

Hikers will cross the bridge, starting the walk from the coffee house in front of İbrahimpaşa Köyü.

Following a 30 minute walk in the Balkan Vadisi, first stop is Balkan Kilisesi.

A viewing of the art exhibition on the Promenade will be held, later hikers will continue through the valley.

Upon exiting the Promenade, over Dere Sokak, the tour will end at Cami Sokak, in front of Ortahisar Kalesi. 

Prepping for the hike

•    Being healthy and fit is sufficient to participate. Preparing physically before the hike will make the hiking tour easier.
•    Shoes must be appropriate for slippery surfaces and outdoors.
•    Not recommended for individuals with advance vertigo, or non-physically active persons over the age of 65.
 
*Price of event tickets sold at the door will increase during the festival, between 14-19 June.

- Children over 6 years old will be needing a ticket to attend the events
- Ticket holders below 18 years old, will need to be accompanied by their parents holding a ticket from the same event.
- Children under 6 years old can not attend outdoor events. 
-Children under 12 years old can not attend cycling events. 
-Children under 8 years old can not attend Valley Walk and Valley Run events.
