In the process that started about 10 million years ago and lasted until the recent eras, the magnificent geologic forms of Cappadocia have formed in due course with the atmospheric erosions of the rocks that settled with the violent explosions of Central Anatolian volcanoes.

These figures that are called Fairy Chimneys are not just geological formations, but a structure that mirrors the history of mankind with many rock-carved churches, monasteries, caves and miles-long underground tunnels.

You will witness the rich legacy of millions of years in these lands, where nature, history and architecture are experienced together, from the Hittite civilization to the early Christian era, from the ancient Persian empire to the Ottoman settlements.

Route:

* The Geology Tour will start at Göreme and end at Soğanlı.

* On the route, detailed information about geological factors in Cappadocia will be shared.
