In this trip, we’ll take a walk between Kızılçukur and Meskendir valleys, where history meets nature. On this route we will both explore the churches and pass through natural and man made tunnels with unparalleled beauty. We will discover the churches of Cappadocia that have been carved into the rocks, merged by tunnels, and stayed hidden for centuries.

Route

* We’ll travel from Göreme to Kızılçukur sunset point with shuttle service. Our walk starts at panoramic view point. It ends at the field near Çavuşin cemetery, after visiting churches and tunnels.

* Following the path on the right of panoramic view point, we bypass Üzümlü Church leaving it on the lower left and we reach the upper plain.

* We stop at Kolonlu Kilise (Columned Church) and visit the place. 

* We meet the shuttles at the field near Çavuşin cemetery and complete the walk.

Path: Soft dirt roads

Duration: 2,5-3 hours

Preparation

* Be at Uçhisar Info/Shuttle Point 30 min before the walk begins.

* To attend the walk, you’ll need to be in good physical and medical condition. The walk is suitable for attendees from all ages that are in good medical conditions. Previous physical training will be to your advantage.

* You’ll need to wear walking shoes that are suitable for slippery slopes.

* The walk is not recommended for those with severe vertigo and those over 65 years of age without good physical conditions.

* Ticket prices may vary at the box office on festival dates June 14- 19. 

- Children over 6 years old will be needing a ticket to attend the events
- Ticket holders below 18 years old, will need to be accompanied by their parents holding a ticket from the same event.
- Children under 6 years old can not attend outdoor events. 
-Children under 12 years old can not attend cycling events. 
-Children under 8 years old can not attend Valley Walk and Valley Run events.
