The definitive feature of the Göreme Valley Cycle is that it offers a wonderful opportunity to have closer look at the hidden churches of Göreme and the most beautiful fairy chimneys and pigeon lofts of the region.

We begin at the Castle of Uçhisar and enjoy an easy freewheel through the village, stopping to admire the incredible views down into Pigeon Valley. From here, a long descent on a well surfaced dirt road takes us downwards to Göreme. Meandering through the old streets we soon leave the village and enter the Swords Valley- an area of stunning natural beauty, fairy chimneys and early Byzantine cave churches. We take to some easy singletrack mountainbike trails to reach a fascinating monastery complex, and then soon arrive in Çavuşin village, where refreshments are available.

After a visit to the 6th century church of St John the Baptist we carry on through incredible scenery and marvel at the rock formations at Paşabağ. Nearly at our final destination, an easy ride on flat dirt tracks brings us to Zelve - an open air museum of cave dwellings that were occupied as recently as  the 1950’s. An optional walking tour around the historic site completes the tour, and from here a shuttle vehicle will return you and your bikes back up the hill to Uçhisar, where the tour ends.

* Be at Uçhisar Info/Shuttle Point 30 min before the cycling begins. Shuttles will drop walkers off at the same point after the event.

*Knee guard and elbow protector need to be brought by the visitor.

*Ticket prices will change according to indoor sales, on festival dates

- Children over 6 years old will be needing a ticket to attend the events
- Ticket holders below 18 years old, will need to be accompanied by their parents holding a ticket from the same event.
- Children under 6 years old can not attend outdoor events. 
-Children under 12 years old can not attend cycling events. 
-Children under 8 years old can not attend Valley Walk and Valley Run events.
